Mission

Our mission is to foster strong relationships within the Edo Community in Edmonton, promoting unity, support, and cultural heritage. We aim to provide guidance and assistance in areas such as employment, identity, and conflict resolution, while standing by our members in times of grief.

About Edo Community of Nigeria Edmonton

The Edo Community of Nigeria Edmonton was founded in August 2015 with the vision of building a supportive and cohesive community for all Edo people residing in Edmonton. From the outset, our objectives have been clear:

  • Fostering Relationships

    We are dedicated to fostering sound relationships among our members, promoting a sense of unity and mutual respect.

  • Advisory Role

    We serve as an advisory bloc providing guidance and support across various aspects of life, including resolving misunderstandings, offering mentorship, and more

  • Employment Assistance

    Recognizing the importance of economic stability, we provide valuable information and resources to those seeking employment, helping them find opportunities to thrive.

  • Identity Support

    We offer support to any Edo member facing difficulties related to identity in the province, ensuring everyone feels a sense of belonging.

  • Grief Support

    In times of grief, we stand by our members, offering support in ways the community deems fit to help them through challenging times, financially and otherwise.

  • Cultural Tradition

    We are committed to following and promoting our traditions that encourage progress and humanity, preserving our rich cultural heritage.

  • Community Enhancement

    Above all, we strive to support and enhance the various communities we live in, contributing positively to the province and fostering a sense of shared purpose.

Through these efforts, the Edo Community of Nigeria Edmonton aims to create a nurturing environment where all members can feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their fullest potential.
